Work as a writer and editor has taken me from Chicago to Buenos Aires to Tokyo and back again. Along the way, I've worked for two major metropolitan newspapers and an heirloom apple orchard. I am based in Canada and am authorized to work in both the United States and Canada.

As a writer, I've covered ramen for the Washington Post, sandwiches for the Chicago Tribune, ice cream for the Los Angeles Times and breaking news for the Associated Press.

As an editor, I've worked on hard news and long-form features. Most recently, I was a digital news editor for, where I shared responsibility for deciding the content of the home page, managing SEO and meeting site traffic goals.
